A Revenue Event is what makes a good or bad day for your business. It has a date of occurrence and is usually associated with the user or customer who performed it and is associated with a sale.

For example:

  • A clothing rental company where users pay per item ordered, their Revenue Event is “orders”.
  • A shoe company where users pay per item purchased, their Revenue Event is “purchases”.
  • A wine subscription company where customers pay a monthly fee for a box of wine, their Revenue Event is “subscriptions”.
  • A hair salon where customers pay per service, their Revenue Event is “bookings”.
