Creating Segmentation Filters

📖 **Peel Tip:** If we had to tell you the top analysis that most customers find immediate value & "Ah-Ha" with Peel, it would be:
  • Repurchase Rate monthly cohort segmented by first product purchase. This will tell you if there is a product that was in the first product purchased that is enticing customers to come back more frequently.
  • LTV or Repurchase rate by discount codes (if tied to a campaign) to see what worked and what is enticing people to come back.

Key Information

Subscriber / Non-Subscriber

Subscriber/non-subscribers is a customer segment looking at all orders for each customer. If any of them is a subscription order, then the customer is flagged as such. Otherwise, if none of them were a subscription order, the customer is a “non-subscriber”

Peel's Linear Metrics - the top segments are dynamic.

Cohort Metrics - if you see a "No Data" when you segment it might be because it is not in the top 100 segment values. Message us to find a solution.

Customer, Product & Order Tags

Shopify gives you the ability to use tags to label products, customers, orders, etc to help you stay organized while using the Shopify platform. They are not customer-facing. They are used internally.https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-admin/productivity-tools/using-tags

Peel surfaces tags as a segmentation option so that you can segment/filter any metric by them to get a look at a unique subset of your business.

We have seen brands use tags to identify loyal customers, customers from a specific purchase time frame, customers apart of a customer service outreach project, products organized in a special way, orders identified in a special way. The creative options are endless and then you can use those subsets to answer the data questions you are after.

Order tags - Order tags we only load daily, so if you fulfill later, we don’t update them. We have a setting to reload these datasets for a rolling few days though to catch the order tags. We assume most orders are fulfilled within 5 day. Let us know if you need a wider widow.

Customer & Product Tags - are refreshed daily.

⚠️ **Rules**

If you add a tag today, then it will appear tomorrow in your segment options.

Cohorts are refreshed daily and will capture tags added to historical data.

Linear Stats - we do not recompute, so if you add a tag to historical data and want it populated, please message us to rerun your historical stats so it will be visible.

What does “Other “mean?

Other = All other values that are not top 100.

Peel always shows you the top 100 segment values and Other is a catch all for all the other values that are not the top 100. It came as a request from a customer who wanted to understand the scope of all the non top 100 segment values.
